Vietnamese rosewood 4-hole incense bowl burner — diameter 5.9cm, thickness 2.3cm, caliber 4.2cm; for thread and stick incense; semi-handmade New Chinese style fragrance ritual object. By Silo Stone Home.
Vietnamese rosewood carries a particular authority in the tradition of incense ritual objects: the density and grain of the wood create a surface that responds to the warmth of burning incense in a way that cheaper materials cannot replicate, the natural oils in the rosewood complementing rather than competing with the fragrance of agarwood and other premium incenses. This bowl burner is worked in a semi-handmade process that preserves the precision of the four-hole insert (caliber 4.2cm, with apertures across a range from approximately 1.2 to 3mm, accommodating different thread incense gauges) while ensuring the dimensional consistency required for stable use. At 5.9cm diameter and 2.3cm thickness, it sits with quiet authority on a desk, shelf, or meditation surface. Works in New Chinese, Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, and East Asian-influenced contemporary interiors as a ritual object chosen with the same care as any decorative piece.
