Abstract resin and sandstone face expression ornament — eco-friendly, non-toxic, sand-texture surface, in four expressive characters (smiling, winking, high-spirited, cheerful), for desk, home, office, café, and restaurant display. By Silo Stone Home.
The expressive face as a decorative sculpture occupies an interesting contemporary position: it is not the idealised physiognomy of classical portraiture, nor the unambiguous sentimentality of novelty ornament, but something more particular — an abstracted face that captures a state of expression (a smile, a wink, an attitude of high spirits) in the material language of resin and sandstone. The sandstone aggregate gives the surface a warmth and granularity that reads as genuinely material, softening the potential literalism of a smiling face into something more like an art object. Four expressions (smiling, winking, high-spirited, cheerful) allow for a single purchase or a curated group. The eco-friendly, non-toxic resin formula produces no odour. Works as a table accent, a shelf placement, a desk companion, or a gift object in Nordic, Wabi-Sabi, and light-eclectic contemporary interiors.
